This Privacy Policy explains what data Intro Creg ("the Bot") collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Data Collection

When you use the Bot to create an introduction, we collect and store the following information:

Automatically Collected Data

  • Discord User ID: To associate your data with your Discord account.
  • Discord Username/Tag: To display your author information on embeds.
  • Guild (Server) ID: To associate your introduction with the specific server.

User-Submitted Data

We collect the data you explicitly provide via the command prompts and forms, including:

  • Name
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Profession
  • Gaming Platform (PC, Console, Mobile)
  • "What do you do?" / Game details

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Functionality: To generate and display your introduction embed in the designated server channel.
  • Moderation: To allow server moderators to review, approve, or reject your submission before it goes public.
  • Role Assignment: To automatically assign roles (e.g., Verified, Male, Female) based on your submission settings.
  • Persistence: To prevent duplicate submissions and allow you to edit your existing introduction.

3. Data Storage

Data is stored securely in a database (MySQL).

  • We do not share your personal data with third parties or sell your data.
  • Your data is viewable by members of the Discord server where you submitted your introduction once it is approved.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Retention: Your data is retained as long as you have an active introduction in the server.
  • Leaving a Server: If you leave or are kicked/banned from a server, your submission data for that specific server is automatically deleted from our database.
  • Manual Deletion: You may request a server administrator to use the /admin reset-intro command to wipe your data from the database.

5. Third-Party Services

The Bot is hosted on the Discord platform. By using the Bot, you are also subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
